The Kid is back!

Another Great Week! hi frens! Thousand apologies having been on hibernation mode for almost 3 months! OMG! My heart yearned to blog but just cud not find the time that would put me in such total focus without any distractions mentally! err... i shall not go into details...

anyhow once again thanks for taking time out reading my celotehs and  pot pet pot pet..! its a beautiful sunday morning just after a slight drizzle. This is my favorite part of the day! Everything is so fresh and pure! and my eldest son, faris just left for his campus in Penang. his new semester starts tomorrow. 

Told him its best he drives early in the morning missing all the weekend holiday makers later in the day. like any parent... drama la sikit, so sad and hugged him tightly avoiding tears from flowing..kids grow so fast and before you know its time to let them go..huhuhu

As I'm writing I'm thinking what should i get for breakfast for the kids..hannah, rashad and his friend adam! last week was lontong! any ideas guys?! never mind will figure it out as i write! hope they won't starve by the time I'm done here! LOL!

I had a great week as usual and so blessed with life as always.. alhamdulillah syukur for all his kindness and love.. i can never thank him enough but to always be grateful and do my best to be a good muslim..insyaAllah

We had our charity Childline event on friday and the ceo band helped out in the collection! we had fun during our rehearsals, all four of them! Good to see each other again on a more business unusual circumstances! Wahid maybank or AWO as we fondly called him even bought a new guitar for this charity show!

I had a wonderful week again at the UMNO General Assembly! So inspired by our beloved PM's speeches and commitment to lead our country to greater heights! We have a great leader and must give him all the support bar none! having the privilege to work  and report to him for 2 years, allhamdulillah.. i find him so inspiring in every aspects! no one comes close to his work ethics and commitments!

In my entire career span of more than 25 years i have never met someone who is so focussed, dedicated and committed to a cause and agenda i.e to take our country and us Malaysians to a level we have never attained before! trust me i have worked with best and he is notches above! Really, i can go on and on and on when i talk about my boss! one gets so inspired when you are next to him!

I want all of us get to know him better and closer kan...he would love that too! We have a great team at the office and everyone rallies in full support behind him! A true leader will always rise above everything else! i better stop here or else i sound patronizing pulak! can't help it when you have a great man that inspires you la!

Oops! its almost 8.25am now! Gotta wake the kids and grab breakfast  for them! taking them to watch " the life of pi " later! And yess.. we have a J Lo concert to go tonite!

What was to be and not to be...

My week started with full of enthusiasm until i had the dreadful fever which kept coming and going even till yesterday! i was advised to take the blood test incase of the dreadful dengue fever! Thanks to my great physician, Dr Zainuddin who gave me the Augmentin I really feel much better today. And Oh yes, my dentist Dr Padma, thanks for fixing my cacit jiji.. errr... yes doc..i will be there on wednesday for the extraction..ouch..ouch! 

Despite the above, the week was a great one albeit my other weeks! No time for despair.. this week went as fast and furious! LOL! on hindsight my stress level was high as like any parents whose child was about to go thru UPSR! Rashad said it was not as tough, though the BM Kefahamam made him sweat as always..To all parents whose kids are done with their UPSR, our challenge is to keep them occupied! Please give me some tips! 

On Wednesday we had the Mycreative venture launch. I must say I'm proud of the team who did it very tastefully and classy. I always believe in simplicity and the principle of less is more! PM was very inspiring in his speech, off the cuff most of it but yet guided by the talking points. many commented that his strategic thinking about the creative industry has given us the impetus to be the next korean invasion! Invitation to have lunch with Kate and William was an honor especially when there were only 5 tables! True to many comments about them,  you can't  get a more perfect looking couple! Words like suave, debonair, elegant fits them more than any couple i have met! Hope they enjoyed their stay here and will bring good memories back home..

Last night i had a good sleep! Why? Because my team played well and won 4 goals over Wigan! Revenge is sweet! It will be a tough week for United facing Galatasaray and of coz the away games against the Kops! I will not say more because we all know which channel to watch them now kan! oops..!

And today is Hari Malaysia! So grateful for the peace and stability we have been enjoying all these years! I know god willing, my kids future are in good hands looking at the plans that has been laid out for them, the young generation of this country! Let's continue to strive and work together! 

Gotta go now, its almost lunch and we have much to do!!

Of merdeka, weddings and relatives...

what a busy and exciting week it has been as the title of my third blog suggests!  

I always have mix feelings when  we have short weekdays as in the case of this week! Whilst i look forward to an eventful friday of merdeka celebration, my niece's wedding and not to mention the many raya open houses etc...there was much to be done before friday comes..oh, and also not to mention i went to see the preview of  kru film's Feb 29 on tuesday evening with mama. We enjoyed the movie and  trust norman, edry and yusry to come out with another winner and first of many sorts! 

As for merdeka day, I'm always proud to see malaysians from all walks of life congregate and acknowledge each other of the memorable day! i tweeted and asked "what does merdeka means to you?" Thanks everyone for the great response!! you are the best lah!

My friend Josephine Dass from our tv3 news desk asked me the same question and my simple reply was, to me Hari Merdeka is about appreciating the good life we have in our country and to remember the people who have sacrificed their lives for us to be here today...

As malaysians we are truly blessed with stable and strong economy, multi racial living together and a great leader who is so determined to bring this country to much much more greater heights! Talking about my boss, he was such an inspiring figure on the 31st night at stadium bukit jalil!

Tireless as always he was in the thick of the action, mingling and chilling with the rakyat with no barriers at all! He is always reminding me to have more and more activities for the youths thru his favorite 1m4u project! You da man boss!

I must congratulate uncle Rais Yatim and DS Kamaruddin Siaraf for a job well done for the merdeka day celebrations both the morning and evening sessions! You guys rock!

In between our merdeka celebrations i managed to squeeze time to attend my niece, Nor Shafinaz and her hubby Mohd Shahrizal's akad nikah and wedding reception! I love weddings as always especially when i get to meet all my relatives who came from all over the country!

Wish i cud share all the pictures with you guys! My aunt, maksu Lela made my favorite sambal tumis ikan bilis for me to tapau! it was my late opah's secret recipe, and those days during school holidays i used to help sell her nasi lemak at my opah's kampung in bukit chandan, kuala kangsar, perak. Confirm habis punye!!

Life was much simpler then kan... jual nasi lemak, mandi sungai, main galah panjang, guli, gasing, kondakondi and panjat pokok manggis, rambutan and... oh so many fun things to do!!

I would never imagine blogging on a sunday morning! it used to be either golf, basketball or tennis at this hour for me! well there's always exception to the rule! i will settle for a workout at the gym and a run at the ttdi park with hannah and rashad later in the evening! Rashad is working very hard to prepare for his upsr exams. Im so proud of you dude!

Im also looking forward to having lunch with my nephews Irfan and Faiq today! A dentist and a doctor in the making! More saving on my medical bills post retirement! 

As always i look forward to another great week! so many things to work on and so little time... Let's enjoy every moment we have and always remember to appreciate what little we have and to give and share them... live life in modesty and humility my friends.

Sunday Raya

Hi there! Hope everyone had a great Sunday like i did with mama and the kids doing our Hari Raya open house gallivanting! Happy to share with you that i have been asked to organize another friend's daughter's wedding in may next year! this is my 3rd time being a wedding planner! Yeay! Its a true honor for me because my friend ni is a big time celebrity! and he has a beautiful daughter who is to be married! lucky guy la yang dapat anak kawan i ni!

Apparently the  two weddings that i helped plan was much acclaimed and the two families were very happy! It all started when my friend asked me to organize his son's wedding (can't mention the name unfortunately) simply because they thought since I have been doing our TV3's Jom Heboh all these years, planning a wedding would be a walk in the park for me! 

Hmmm...Jom Heboh and being a wedding planner?! well I took the challenge and found out that i have such great passion doing it! Actually there were similarities especially in the meticulous planning i.e checklists after checklists, running orders, rehearsals and of course timing of every sequence!

Of course good teamwork is ultimate and i had a great team for both weddings! Actually, i could this again and again because its so satisfying to see the bride and bridegroom walking down the aisle all happy and smiling! you can't beat this scene seeing the couple looking forward to start their new life as husband and wife! and who knows it could be a good post retirement job for me! can ah?!

Laaaa...just look at me here! i'm so diverted from my original plan to blog about our today's hari raya gallivanting! what i actually wanted to share is that it's so nice to see Rashad and Hannah meeting their almost never met before cousins! well, second cousins because they are my cousins kids! low and behold somehow they look like my kids and could pass as siblings! 

I'm so happy for them to have met and from now on I will ensure my kids meet their relatives and second cousins. hoping that when they grow up they will not be strangers!

My father used to do this when i was a kid! Having 14 uncles and aunties, i had hundreds of cousins and second cousins and this is only on my father's side whilst my mom had 5 siblings! he would ensure i know them and I'm proud that even till today i know almost all of them. we still keep in touch especially at this age i will attend their kids weddings pulak! 

Would like to write more but its getting late by my standards! I'm an early bird and enjoy the morning more than any part of the day! hope you guys have a great week ahead after the long raya week! I'm so raring to go and its full steam ahead! my boss is such a workaholic and even bbm me on sundays! i don't mind because to me he is the best boss one can ever have!

I'm so grateful for all the support and encouragement urging me to continue writing! You guys are amazing! so blessed with all the comments! thanks a million! 

And yes, its merdeka week! lets celebrate our 55th merdeka with all our hearts and passion! Our country is the best in the world bar none!
